Greetings,

I have only had my US model 40 since December, and have greatly enjoyed driving and working on her. She starts easily, idles, and no hesitation through the gears.

I noticed on the Aisan carb that there are 4 diaphragms. The top-front diaphram is not connected and I could not see on the diagram where it connects or should it be capped?

Also, could not find where the bottom hose on the HAC connects?

Thanks!

The unused carb diaphragm is the AC idle up.

The hose on the bottom of HAC is just a vent hose, open to atmosphere.

The rubber ring that is squashed & sitting on top of the carb should actually be snapped into the neck of the aircleaner. It is still available new from Mr T, go order one while you can still get it.

Get it while you can, OEM number is 17848-61020. Nice looking 40. Does it have Nippondenso A/C?
Thanks Jim! No AC on this rig, so I will cap it off. Also, thanks for the part number and your speedy reply. Happy trails!
