After a couple of years of restoration I have my 40 back on the road. I've got it dialed in and have really been enjoying it. Over the past few weeks I've had it not turn off when I tried to shut it off. The first time I turned the key off and got out to open the hood and it turned off by it self with out me doing anything. Last night I had to pull the distributor wire to get it to turn off. After doing some searching I'm thinking it might be time to replace the ignition. With a replacement close to 150.00 I was wondering if there was a test I can do on the existing ignition before ordering the new one. Does any one know how to test this? I do have a SBC conversion as well.

Thanks!
