1980 FJ Reverse light wiring for switch?

Replaced the reverse light switch and there are the two wires coming out of the switch that I cannot find where they plug to… I followed the length of the wires to see where they may go and see the wire harness coming from the rear. I do not see the female bullets just some twisted wiring. See photos.

What color wiring am I looking for ?

Am I looking in the right place (passenger side chassis ?
