Go ahead and insulate the heck out of the floor pan around the trans and the BH. Your feet will thank you later. 100s come with ~1/4" batting/insulation to fight the heat off.

Whoaaaa. Galvanic corrosion sucks.
I knew I should have made a new engine lift pointI’m about ready to call this motor my “mock up” motor and buy another. Originally this was not going to be the motor I would use for the project.
It’s not in this picture but it’ll go left of the air cleaner. There is just enough space for me to fit a small battery there.Exciting, that is going to be fun. Where did you locate your battery?
Yep, I’m there! I fully expect something to fail spectacularly IF I make it on this trip next week. That’s half the funI've come to realize that most all truly pristine builds came from a shop where the wrencher was not the owner. Once an owner goes for the first test fire and the engine lights up, the rush is on, and the mess begins. I say this as the owner of a very functional yet "is that really a..."-inclusive engine bay.
I’m afraid this is a true reflection of my rig as well…I've come to realize that most all truly pristine builds came from a shop where the wrencher was not the owner.
