Looking for NOS oem gas tank for 79 fj40. Under body tank. Not under seat like earlier models. May consider poly tank if good quality. Open to Mud advice.

@fjc-man have you ordered on of those tanks? It says usually ships 1-2 months which is ok. How's the quality?

I have not bought one. But if you look at their company, looks like tanks are what they make.

I purchased one for my 1979 fj40. Comes without the pickup tube and there is no drain. Also in raw steel, but pretty good quality. I also have an extra OEM fuel tank from a 1983 fj40 that is in very good condition with no rust and includes the pickup tube and of course drain. Also it retains the original coating on the outside and the felt pads. One other thing, I was unable to fit the skid plate on the aftermarket tank, but may just have been me having a bad day.
