I am searching for the the part that goes between the key lock and the ignition switch. It fits in the ignition barrel and has a spring in it. Any help would be appreciated!

If you post photos I won’t have to ask for some anymore .........
I specialize in Vintage Toyota Locks / Keys / Electrical Switches too and anything related and indeed in the middle of all that too ....
If you can’t post photos then perhaps mention that and somebody who specializes in helping fellow members post photos can chime in to help ?
When it comes to your Land Cruiser keys and locks I always think outside the box

this NOS part is called your receiver or :

that small piece in your hand is simply part of the receiver and was not ever offered separately ..........
you need a new receiver , because if your holding that in your hand now , the internal " Spider Clip " has failed due to age and time or possibly a attemped forced entry key start with a screw driver for example
i have only seen this scenario once in my life and it was attempted theft related ...

i have only seen this scenario once in my life and it was attempted theft related ...
this is the forced entry monkey business i had to contend with for a in-house shop job long term client , circa 2003 ish
