Is there a “trick” to reattach the drivers side wiper actuator to the wiper hub? My drivers side has popped off and I can’t get it to seat fully on the stud.

I just reassembled my windshield and if I recall correctly, that’s a ball joint. It doesn’t sit at the base of the stud.

Should be a plastic socket/clip holding the rod to the ball joint. Mine looked like it was lubricated with white lithium grease.

Yours may be damaged. If you can get a mechanic's mirror behind it, see if the yellowed plastic socket is fully intact.

You may have to remove the wiper motor and then the wiper linkage to fully expose the problem. The complete linkages are getting harder to find used, and any new ones still left are fairly costly. Good luck.
