1976 FJ40 White Wire (1 Viewer)

I am putting a FJ back together and had the original carb rebuilt. It is desmogged and I am wondering where the white wire with the green connector go? I did not take it apart and am unsure if it is still needed and if it is what is it connected to?

There should be a corresponding plug in the harness next to the carb on the fender. If it is the single wire version, it is self grounded and just needs +12v when ignition is turned on.
