Changing out my water pump and replacing my non-clutch fan with a clutch fan. Selling non-clutch fan and pulley that fits on the long water pump. Would also donate the long water pump as well if you are interested in rebuilding it.

Personally, I wouldn’t let go of those until I had weathered a Texas summer with the clutch fan and determined that it provides satisfactory cooling.

Question: Do you think I will get better cooling with a non-clutch fan? I really do not know the positives and negatives. Appreciate any guidance.

Been running a fan-clutch + fan in west texas desert weather for the past year. My dad has been doing it on his fj-40 since 1988. We'll get 110 F out here on our hottest days. Haven't noticed an issue, even when offroading. Its a nice upgrade.
