1975 FJ40, with 52k original miles, body paint*(Mustard Yellow), 2F engine and 4 speed transmission. One of the last survivors. 1975 and newer are the most desirable FJ40's and the 1975 model is the only year that’s smog exempt in CA. It spent most of its life in Colorado. I’ve had it since 2007 and only put around 5k miles on it. Always garaged and never driven in the winter since I’ve had it. There's no diamond-plate hiding potential damage. This could be left as is and still be the envy of most that see it or candidate for a partial restoration. It does not appear the hardtop has ever been removed.
There’s some some dents and scrapes as seen in the pics. There’s one rust bubble under the spare carrier (this has not gotten worse in 15 years) and a previous owner drilled holes to pull out a dent behind the spare tire. The spare tire hides the attempted dent repair. The undercarriage only has surface rust. It was undercoated in 2007. The tub was not cut during the flare installation.
PS; It even has the highly coveted original AM radio
*The rain gutter edge, bumpers, license plate frame and support bracket have been repainted. There’s some paint on the roof to body seal on the rear which may indicate touch up was done at some point. There’s no indication of Bondo using a magnet on the usual suspect areas. Overall, the Mustard Yellow OEM orange peel finish and rivet marks appear to be original.
