Rebuilt a new cooler swing out. I was not happy with the way the original one looked like. Here is a before and after photo.
Anyone have any good LOCKING ideas?

Found a local guy that does powder coating. I don’t know if that’s good or bad....haha
Had him do the air cleaner, fuel cover, couple brackets, heat shield for gear box.
What a difference. ordered a few new stickers for the valve cover and the air cleaner From city racer.

Added a new bumper to the TRD. Aka terd...lol. That’s what the wife calls it.

Finally took the time and repainted my 1/2 doors. While I was at it I painted the side steps to match. I never liked the black from the PO.
The paint color is pretty close.

I need some door panel clips, anyone have any?

Decide to replace the bottom section of the passenger door since they are off.
I am interested to see how this is going to turn out. I have been holding on to the bottom repair parts for a while.
I have never blended paint before...Any tips?

I mean, I’m planning to weld on some patches onto my doors/rear fender, and just putting primer on it, then letting a paint shop do the colors. Doesn’t seem so bad to do it that way honestly. One thing you don’t want to mess up is mis matched paint. I’m leaving it to the professionals

Finally got a chance to finish my passenger door bottom replacement. Another first. I think it turned out pretty good. Didn’t get to paint it because of the rain. Booo
Also sanded down the half doors for the repaint as well. Gonna paint tomorrow.

Well, passenger door done. I ended up painting/ stripping it 2 times… learning.
Didn’t turn out too bad. Will be buffing later.
Good practice before I do the whole truck.

Well it’s been a while… I have just been enjoying riding around in the FJ. The wife and I have just been driving on the weekends and the random drive to work.

I decided to start stripping it down for paint over the summer. I will probably go ahead and replace bearings, rings etc.. on the engine. I know I will be rebuilding the trans and transfer case.

Going Rustic Green. I have not decided if I am going single stage or base coat clear coat.
Any suggestions on that would be helpful.

I have been working on my top panel and doors last few months. Just got to the passenger side top panel and it’s not looking as good as the drivers side.
Anyone have a passenger top panel they want to get rid of?
