1975 Toyota Landcruiser 4-speed transmission

Recently pulled out, speedometer read 57,000 miles, shifted well prior to taking out. Has old transfercase, which has wear in it, suggest rebuild. Transmission is fine though, and doesn't leak. What is in the pictures is how it comes. Trying to raise money for tuition.

Location: Pasadena, CA

Asking: $300

Shipping: Buyer arranges, I'll take it where it has to go for pickup.

Here are the pictures: 4-speed transmission - a set on Flickr

I have a customer who might be interested in purchasing this to have me install it.
Couple of questions. First, the top of the shifter tower on the trans is not on it. Safe to assume it is included, just not in the pic?

Second, quite a few of the trans that come thru the shop turn out to have worn tailshafts where the input gear of the t-case rides. Would you be opposed to having me split the units to inspect the shaft?

You can call the shop if you like; I don't have much time to visit MUD these days.:frown:

Sorry for the late reply, but yes, you can split them up and inspect if nearby. The shifter tower, which is where the shifter attaches to (iirc), is not coming with it, as I had to use it for the one currently in my rig. Sorry, the transmission was given to me without a shifter tower, so had to swap it to keep my baby running.

Hope this helps.

Ian Ojeda

Dropping price to $200, I really need to get rid of it to make room in my garage. It operates and works, I can spin it freely with my hands and the only thing needing repair is transfercase, as it leaks. The transmission will do many more years of service.

I am still interested if you want to take the time to bring it by. Apparantly you are not familiar with my shop. The link is in my sig line.

I will be in M,W,Th and Friday afternoon next week.

Hope to see you.

I would much rather you come by to examine it, I could provide shipping to your place after purchase of it. If possible, I could separate it here prior to your arrival, but would much rather have you come to see it.
