Love your work. I've got the 3.0 Duramax in my Silverado and my wife's Tahoe. I love that engine (not crazy about the automatic). I've always thought it would be a great rolling chassis for a build like this using a square body.

If there were some way to pair the 3.0 Duramax to an H55, what a sweet swap that would make to a 40 series.

Diggin the drawing. Just an elegant car with a sleeper feel to it. Pin you to the seat power can't be bad.

I stumbled onto a true barn find (well behind a barn) - 100 year anniversary one year model hardtop!

The engine dyno'd 562HP at crank. With Andrea and I in it should weigh in at 3410# . I have another 200hp NOS shot on the button and the transbrake should really eat most off the line with the 4.10 posi and cheater slicks.. HA!

Our "ICE CREAM GETTER" ride.

Make sure Andrea is not taking a bite of the cone when you jump on it. Red light racers are what it was all about when I was coming up. Canyon carvers were for weirdos like me with my Austin Healys. Thinking you may find out what it feels like steering with the rear end if you are not careful.

Body mounts are made and set.

Since I'm a glutton for punishment and like to do things no one else has. The drivetrain will be a 2024 Gen 3+ 6.7 H.O Powerstroke. Going to have to break a little FoMoCo security and protocols for it to work, but up for the challenge. I will be working with a secondary tuning company to get this to a standalone system for the motor, 10R140 and tcase.

They have successfully bypassed all systems for a 2021 and older, but no luck so far on '22 or newer systems.

Body is reset with the 6.7L powertrain. Need to trim the DS inner fender well to clear the spring tower. It's a tight squeeze, but everything clears.

Able to run the OEM fan and clutch and not have to go with an electric fan. Custom radiator has been designed and ordered. Once here I will set it and design and order the auxiliary radiator for the fuel, trans and air to water intercooler.

Will be doing an EGR delete and CCV reroute into a custom downpipe.

NOW...... I can weld the cab and bed mounts out and get this into paint.

All body mounts; bed and cab are in.

All new-- every nut, bolt, screw, pin, grommet, grill, bumper, bracket, weatherstrip, seal, cover, handles, wipers, knobs, glass, door kits and interior pieces, etc... on this pallet.

13 pages - 266 line items......... Lots to sort and bundle per part. This is what $21,210.32 of bits and pieces looks like. YEESH!

Making the custom bumper brackets. Rear was pretty simple mod.

Front...... A work in progress. Frame chop 3 times to get it where I liked it. Now to chop out that bend design front crossmemeber and make a new one higher up and not so visible.

Interested to see what you come up with for the front frame section - it's a really irregular shape where i cut back to. 4x4 box tube kinda works but i'd like to revisit my solution at some point.

I cut it back and didn't add any tube to mine. Built the front radiator core support and bumper bracket into the same mount.
