1974 1978 transfer case (1 Viewer)

Will the internals of a 1974 4 speed transfer case work in a 1978 4 speed transfer case?

Thats a Georg ? but there may be a idler shaft OD difference, I know there were changes in the output & bearings but if you are switching everything the idler OD may hang you up, could be the same , cant remember.

You are right the rear bearing is smaller od. My Downey input shaft fits so maybe just rebuild 74 case.

Yes that sounds good. I am working with advance adapters right now trying to find a course spline flange for my front driveshaft. Thanks for all your help.
