1973 fj40 rear fuel tank removal (1 Viewer)

It's seems I have 2 fuel tanks but only one fill door for the passenger seat fuel tank
I'm trying to access the wiring harness that runs from the drivers side to passenger side that runs across the rear of the tub along the back bumper and there is a fairly large tank with a bucket shaped skid plate covering it.
How can I access those wires?

sounds like a South American Medicinal Medicine storage compartment to me. does the extra tank have a secret door?

Turns out it is a rear gas tank The PO had welded the filler hole closed.
There's a valve under the center console
