Wow! Just wow...
Your have done a masterful job with this beautiful 1972. Extra credit for getting the early harness to work in the 1972! (I think Cowboy is the true brains behind this operation...)

I see that you have not installed the horn relay yet. You may have to mount it to the firewall due to harness/year length differences. On the early trucks it mounted on the innner fender.

Really wish I was able to build you the custom harness this 1972 needed but you have made it work.

Thanks for chiming in. I fear I will have a few questions in the end but so far I’m making it work. Thanks for fine products.

I worked on the E-Stopp setup today.

The only place with some empty real estate to mount it is on the passenger frame in front of the not used bellhousing frame mount.

I chopped it off and mounted the mechanical part.

Wizard will come out and build a bracket for the cables.

I’m using a Wilwood universal ebrake cable kit and ElDorado calipers.

E-Stopp install. This thing is super slick.

Old Brake light spot on the dash for the button. Same size as OEM.

Then I used one of the drum brake cable ends from the Wilwood kit to mate the kit to the EStopp. Wizard tapped a thick piece of metal M6 and welded it in

This is the bracket that takes the real pull on the system. The EStopp itself does not take the pressure on it’s aluminum housing.

Then we put the cable junction on the torque tube. This just locates the two cables. No pressure.

Once we got the cable length correct we cut and the Wizard tig welded the ends

This is how the cables run

From the front. The spring is there to keep tension on the cable when slack because otherwise it will rattle on the crossmember

Action. The beeping is when it’s setting and unsetting.

It’d be interesting to compare this set up with running independent front and rear line locks. I have those in my 55 and I can barely get the pig to move in 1st if I have both on.

Line locks are way easier to install and way cheaper. I run them on all of my trucks.

That said, they won’t pass a tech inspection for a parking brake and the electric ones I use will drain the battery if left on overnight.

The EStopp does not keep power flowing when engaged.

El Dorado calipers are very hard to get to work with a hand pull but this thing makes them work and then some.

Not for everyone but a great way to make Chevy eBrakes work.

Outside of keeping them on all night, they seem to be a decent soln for ebraking when the ebrake is not in constant use. I was really surprised at how well they hold.

Yeah I love them personally. No brainer.

I purchased one that is mechanical like the old Lev-ER—Locks were but I’m not good enough bending brake lines to set one up in the cab.

What bolts into this hole? It’s an M10 bolt on the front of the fender. Not sure I’ve ever seen that one.

Did you find another threaded hole on top of the wheel well that would be a little more than half way back of the jump seat? Cleaning up my 3/73 found a matching threaded hole that had been filled with bondo. Doing a search see from 9/71-1/75 jump seat used the same seat belts. 9/73 the roll bar started which used smaller jump seats. That would support the seat belt only sized for a single person.

No top with it. I am going to have something made.
Do you have any thoughts (you'd like to share) regarding the soft top you will use? I know there are several vendors selling them.

I spoke to someone that @wngrog recommended in the Carolinas. She said she was going to send me an invoice and would get started on the top. We went through this twice and I never got an invoice. I have now just given up on a top.

Yep. I’ve spoken with her several times. And several times she said she would send me an invoice. I’m not a big fan of begging someone to take my money so I moved on.
