----------------------------

FJ40 1969 very original and in very good condition.
This FJ40 was originally purchased at Sandy Springs Toyota. Interior paint is original, exterior paint has an older re-spray.
Original drive train, original 3 on the tree shifter. I’ve owned it about 8 years.
I have records going back to 1993.
It has some surface rust but no rust through. The truck is very solid.
Reason for selling is it does not get used enough to justify keeping it.

It’s sold with a bill of sale only. It’s registered and tagged in my name. In GA, vehicles over 1985 are not required to have a title – you can read about that here:

Cash only, no trades
Price is firm

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING ME
If the ad is up it’s still available. I will delete any message asking if it’s still for sale - this is for you scammers out there.
Please only serious inquiries only. If you want to talk cruisers or learn more about them, I’m always happy to talk cruisers but prefer to only show the truck to folks that are serious about purchasing.
The value in the truck is it’s originality and rust free body and frame. This is not a good truck for those looking to swap in a SBC, turn into a rock crawler, etc. There are plenty of other trucks out there for that purpose.

List of work I’ve done to it since I’ve owned it:
• All seats front and back - new foam and covers from Spector off road - 2015
• Exhaust manifold, exhaust and gasket - 2014
• Carburetor rebuilt – Mark’s off road - 2015
• Steering box rebuilt – Mark’s off road - 2015
• Knuckles rebuilt – 2014
• Brake shoes – 2014
• Wiring corrected and working – 2014
• 5 new OEM wheels
• Air filter
• Distributor cap, wires, and plugs
• Newer Tires

Nice! I love how original it is.. this will sell

Saw your ad on Facebook, and have been wanting to come see your 40, but my wife isn't going to let me bring any more land cruisers home! GLWS!! Hope it stays local!

I understand that!!
It sold a couple of days ago and went to a good home in Rome GA. He plans will continue to improve on it's originality and will take good care of her.
It was really tough selling this one as its as rust free survivor as I've ever seen but I had 4 fj40s and they need to get used more.

where abouts in Roswell are you?

That's great! Congrats on the sale. I'm off of Bowen, near the Target. Happy New year!

It is residing in Rome, Georgia now! Not too far from where it originated in 1969 in Sandy Springs, Georgia. All dust and minimal dirt have been removed from body, frame, and interior. It is a great rust free survivor and a very good original driver. Stoked about owning it and protecting its originality. Just got it registered today and more detailing under the hood is next.

It is registered to the FJ40, isn’t that cool! You have to obtain a regular GA tag and fill out some paperwork linking the 69 tag to it and you’re good. I have a vast old GA tags collection and this tag was near mint so I used it on the FJ40. I have done this on some of my Ford Broncos as well see picture attached
