1969 FJ55 axle breather/brake line joint

So I am re-plumbing my rear brakes with NiCop and I have this skuzy brake line joint with what I believe is the passenger side breather port.
Has anybody serviced these funky looking units before??

Uber-simple. Scrape off heavy crud, wash in gasoline, reinstall.

Cool thanks. Will clean up the crud and unwind off to service the breather.
