1969 FJ40 $5,000.00 firm

Pretty much all stock aside from Weber carb as far as I can see. No title currently, will work with serious buyer to obtain title.

I have not even attempted to start this truck. Has not run for 11-12 years that I am aware of. Typical, "my brother parked it there and it sat for 7-8 years when I bought it. No clue.

There is some body rust noticeable, like most rust I am sure it has friends. Needs DS pan under seat. One tear in the DS tub just in front of the rear tire at the bottom. Bondo on PS door with rust under it. Bondo on front fender. Some bubbles in the paint here and there.

It's a fair pretty much untouched FJ40 for $5K

PM if interested

Do you have any additional pics you could post? I see a lot of areas that look like they might have rot or just dirty?????? How is the rear sill and main beam? I'd be interested in seeing the seams along the rear wheel wells up close as well.

I have more photos on my phone. PM me for a number if you are truly interested.

It's a 50 year old LC that has been sitting for 12 years. It has rust and bondo. It is a project vehicle, assume it needs everything. It's $5K.

I completely understand that it's a 50 year old LC. I've done the math. With that said, I am looking at your rig as a parts vehicle, and I mainly need the tub. That's why I'm asking for the pics. Some 50 y/o LC's have fended better than others. I'd be buying it for the sheet metal for my '73 and would rather not buy one that has had a bondo sculpturist cover up tons of rot.

My current vehicle's tub (with no bondo) but plenty of rot holes) is too far gone and the last thing I'd want is to buy yours for $5k and be left with virtually the same tub as I currently have. If the main beam, rear sill and inner floors are gone it's not worth it to me. I'll just fix the one I have. But I just want to let you know WHY I was asking for the pics. GLWS!!

I understand, this is not the truck for you, has bondo on the tub in pllaces, a tear in the side near rear tire and a hole in the floor in the corner of the driver's pan. I don't know what the main beam is that you reference.

Man I'm surprised this thing hasn't sold yet! Given the sky high prices of 40's nowadays finding one this complete for $5k is a steal.

GLWTS Stan!

Morning Will, I thought it would sell faster too. No worries, worst case I put it out closer to the road as yard art.

It looks like a great project! I am not sure how hard it would be for you to get the title, but that would certainly increase the market for it. I live in Georgia and you can register and drive it without a title, but many states require a tile. If you could get one, I would do it :)

You are correct Matthew. It's a time thing for both myself and my wife. I guess I am not in that big a hurry to sell. :) Money is going into my LS3 fund for my 62

Can I buy $$$ those red seat belts and send you some nice black ones?
Thanks, Ben

Have you looked on Seatbeltplanet.com? Got new belts in near proper color for my 60 there

I am not interested in selling off any parts

Was this in Virginia / Maryland previously? Looks very familiar.

No, it's been in SC at least the last 12 years that I know of.
