1968 FJ40? Will a 72 2f motor with a 4 speed swap into my 1968 with a f145 3speed?

That’s a complicated question. To start with the 2F didn’t appear until 1975. That aside so long as you use the transfer case that’s on the 4speed then drive shafts should be your biggest challenge. The fan shroud from the F motor is not going to work either. So much as bolting in it’s not that hard. I am sure others will add in some more. The three speed transfer case would need special adapter to bolt up to the four speed.

I have the complete drive train from a 85 FJ60 in 68 FJ40. Replaced an older V8 swap, so I had a bit more work with the drive shafts.
