I started the resto of my 1968 FJ40, but other commitments force me to sell it.
The car was carfully dissasembled and all the parts were placed in bins.

It had a V8 convernversion using an Advanced Adapters Kit from the PO. I got rid
of the V8 as it was old and tired as well as the TH350 transmission, but kept all
the brackets for intalling a new Chevy 350 with a TH350. It also had a GM power
steering conversion and the steering box and adapter is still on the frame. A new
painless wiring loom was on the car, and was carefully removed and stored.
The tub was rhino lined, but some areas could use a touch up. It has a hardtop from a 1970's
FJ40 with ambulance doors. The tires are BF Goodrich and with lots of tread.
There is a 21 gal aux gas tank with skid plate ( i think it is Confer), the original
in cab tank is gone. Interior is missing seats, but have the guages and other
hardware. Transfer case is dissasembled and cleaned, and have a new gasket set
and shift linkage for it. I have the original CA black plate!

The only damaged part from the dissasembly was the front windshield,
it was cracked, but can be used as a template to have a glass shop cut a new one.
All the other glass is good and bubble wrapped in my garage.
The body, frame, top, and panels are all in very good shape with surface rust only and
no major body damage. I sand blasted the frame and is ready to be coated.

This would be a great start for someone looking to build their dream cruiser!

Not willing to sell parts, you must take it all in one shot!
Make me a reasonable offer! Bring a trailer and haul it away. The car
is located in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA (near San Pedro/Long Beach).

Tempting but that’s a long way from being done. Especially if it shows up to my house. Looks like a great opportunity for the right person though. Good luck w the sale.
