I’m selling my baby to save up money for buying a house, this is one of my favorite. I’ve 5 of these LandCruiser. I bought this one for almost 5 years now and invested a lot of $$$ into it to restore. These are some of the things that has been rebuilt and replaced:
New water pump,
Adjust all the valves, and new valves cover gasket,
New belts,
Major tune up,
Rebuilt original carburetor,
New alternator,
New starter,
New battery, New master break cylinder,
New holes,
New clutch,
New fuel filter,
New muffler and pipes,
New exhaust gasket,
New breaks for front and back,
New tires and rims, i still the original rims that has been sand flash and powder coated by professional shop,
I probably forgot a lot of others thing that also been replaced or rebuild for this fj40. Exterior is rust free, but it does has a couple minor rust spots by the rear bench bolts connection on the interior. I was gonna complete paint it, but a lot of people told me it would worth a lot more if I kept the original paint. I don’t drive it very often, may be 5 or 6 times a years at the most. Changed oil every 3-4 months even if I’m not driving it. I really really love this classic, but the wife said all my toys got to go. Thank you for looking.
