Running much better. Have my standby @cityracer carb on now. Also replaced oil lines to filter. Little blowout last week.

Went with the slightly darker red, but still red. Belts arrive tomorrow. Will post pics. Red is the true color, thought it would look off with the Patina.How did you hook up the carb with the cable throttle? Which color belt did you choose? Light or dark? I have a 72 FST I just got but have yet to post up. It’s a survivor like yours. Nice work and I appreciate the great info you are providing to help me along the way.
Yes, I did figure out the horns. The pin on the back of the horn plate was gone. I made one. The spring mounts on that. You can see a picture earlier in the thread.Curious did you ever figure out the horn? Relay has twelve volts all the time. The coil needs the ground made in the horn button to complete the circuit. When that happens twelve volts is fed to the horns themselves.
