I just filled all the cracks with 2 part liquid epoxy mixed with a few drops of black epoxy die. I haven't started sanding and finishing yet but I will just wet sand untill it is flush. It's hardly noticeable when I look at it, my phone camera just picks up the light differently. I imagine once finished it will be hard to notice.
I've seen other people use solid 2 part epoxy then paint after, I didn't want to paint so I just dyed the resin.

I used PC-7 epoxy on a steering wheel then sprayed it SEM Landau Black and satin spraymax 2k rattle can clear coat. Turned out really well to me. If you’re up for doing it yourself it’s not too bad, just time consuming.

71 wheel I did.

Chevelle steering wheel I did (gloss clear coat)

Chris,

If you don’t want to do it and @Birdhead doesn’t ever respond…I’d look up classic car steering wheel restoration shops. There’s tons of YouTube videos and several companies offering specific DIY steering wheel restoration kits.

Skreddy

The satin finish really looks good.
