A Toyota Land Cruiser tool kit from 1960-61, including an original tool roll canvas with original tools. The canvas marking MADE IN JAPAN on the front flap is very unusual. Several of these early tools have design or markings that are noticeably different from tools supplied in later tool kits.

The tools are in very good used condition and have marks and wear from age and use. The canvas has 2 holes near loop #1, a small tear to the right of loop #9 and 4 very small holes on the upper flap. The canvas is stained near loop #1, with small stains elsewhere. The slide buckle is missing most of the paint. Overall the canvas is in very good condition. The Content list is original and correct for this kit. This kit does not include an Operation Manual (Owner's Manual). Considering its age, the condition of the canvas and tools is quite remarkable. Early tool kits from this period are not all that common. And those that do exist are not necessarily in prime condition. To compare, here's an example of the same type of kit (not mine) in somewhat rougher condition.
