1958-1967 Front axle rebuilding. (1 Viewer)

I am beside myself trying to figure out what it what when it comes to rebuilding these.

SOR offers no help when it comes to selling a "kit" or piecing it together.

I understand that these are their own animal, but what are my options for all new parts or what parts do I need to re use?

My dealer only goes back to 1969, so I am at a loss.

I need all the parts or a direction to get them.

Call Kurt at Cruiseroutfitters. The outer kit is pretty much the same as 69.

You probably need new axle bushings as well (they are available) and you need a reamer that will fit them. There is no inner axle seal.

Better yet, post up in the 25 section Shane. I'm about to do a front '58 myself. Jim will chime in. He did one for me a while back and documented it all.

 

[Living in the Past]

I have 63 FJ40 mirco fiche that should have any parts numbers you might need. Not 100% everthing is the same on the FJ25 and 1961 FJ40 because the brakes are different.
