17" fjc steelie to 16.5" (1 Viewer)

I always seem to see cheap sets of these fjc steelies 17"---and wondered if a machine shop can mill .25" off the inner to fit standard 16.5" military tires????

has anyone done this?

I can't see doing this as being a good idea. Would this rig be driven on the street?

I don't think they would be able to find a quarter inch of metal to take off..the metal is probably only 1/8 thick!
