hey there everyone, i have reciently put a 13b (non turbo version) diesel out of a toyota dyna in my cruiser and i am trying to find a factory turbo. wreckers only want to sell me the whole 13bt motor. if ANYONE has or knows of a turbo or dead engine that i could buy for around $500 - $1000 AUS that would be a dream come true. i am quite happy to buy from overseas sellers.

cheers James.

I don't know the bolt pattern on the 13b if it is the same as the 13b-t and 3b or not. It might be like the later 3b II's. Anyone in your area you can check or compare your manifold to?

GandScruiser parts sells 13b-t manifolds. Then you get a either a MR2 turbo to get an adapter and run a garrett.

There are a few choices. As long as your bolt pattern is the same. If it is the later bolt pattern then you need a 14b-t manifold. Which I imagine gands can get or Japan4x4

The MR2 is a CT20, maybe a little bigger you may find a CT 26 out of a 1HD-T out of a HDJ 80 /81 in a wrecking yard in OZ. With the 13B-T exhaust man.

X2 ..

The other option it's buy a Garrett or a KKK ( 26.8 ) and made an adapter to suit your manifold ..

hey, thanks for the help so far. the motor is a 13b red motor ive been told its the earlier version. the exhaust man. bolts right up to my old 3b.

Im currently doing this to my 13b in my 42 (red motor) . I had a dead 13bt and it all bolts on , just have to drill block for oil return. it has the same cast boss for that.

drill the oil pan and put a pipe thread fitting on there. I welded mine on.

I'm pretty sure the MR2 and Celica both had CT26 turbo's. The version on the supra and the 1hd-t will be too big for the B engine.

Although one guy on here(I forget who) runs a Supra turbo and is quite happy.

Whatever your solution and investment it has got to be cheaper than these guys.

run a 13BT manifold and a turbo, the rest is cheap and easy.
manifold $400-$500 depending where you source it.
turbo $50 for junkyard to $2100 for new with bearings...
i sell a .48 or .63 hybrid (depending on final desired resultws) and i think Louis is selling turbos now too...
