I need to find a 12v power source in my 85 FJ60 that will supply power to an 85 amp solenoid with the key in the ON position only. Any ideas boys?
    Thanks,
    Russ

85A or 85W? In the first case, you're probably talking a #2 cable from the batt & getting the "on" signal elsewhere. There are several 10A fuses in the box you could probably tap for the latter. Check with a test lamp.

Where's the best place to tap in?
And dual battery is what this is for.
    Thanks again,
    Russ

if you need the tap inside the cab(which is how I did mine), then the fusepanel is the place, they make a little fuse tap just for this, its not drawing any amount of power, its just a trigger to the selnoid.

if under the hood, then prolly the best bet is right at the coil, I would guess that the pos post would be the correct place.
