For my Vintage Air install, I'm supposed to move the plug to the glove box and connect the system to it. My plug was on the passenger side firewall just above the transmission cover, and was not connected when I got it with the wires missing.

Is this plug just a switched 12v supply? Any specific wiring I need to know about it or can I just wire up a new power supply wire for the system?

Pictures and vehicle year information would be really helpful.

It is a '66. Have removed the plug already so I don’t have picks of it from inside the engine compartment.

My '73 has the plug already in the glove box but I've never used it. I'll go out and test to see if it is always live or only will key on but can't get to it for a couple of hours.

UPDATED: It took a little longer than expected as I had to revive my amp meter first. '73 socket is located on the left inside wall, (closest to the center of the car) centered. Powered 24/7 no need to have the ignition on.

Just FYI, voltage at the battery measured 12.69 volts and the socket measured 12.67.

Good luck with your relocation.
