All Japanese HJ73s are 24 volt 30 amp alernators.

Rosco, love your maths!

??? As far as I know you multiply the amps by 12 or 24 depending on the system.
30 amp X 24= 720w:princess:Might even run a hairdryer on low speed:D
Im glad I have the 110 amp alt making 1320w:grinpimp:

I didn't know you could get a 24V motor for a WARN winch? I have an old 10000lb. Warn at home can it be converted to 24V? Thanks

I looked into this and contacted Warn.
I have a 12v M8000 from my old truck.
I wanted to convert it to 24v.
Conatcted Warn. The motor needs to be changed and solinoids changed.
Not really worth it.

I eneded up getting a 24v 8274 Toyota copy from Sheldon.
I am itching to hook it up and try it.
I can't wait to see how fast it is.

Anyways, if you have any more questions, maybe read/resurect my old thread in the 24v/diesel section. The thread is only about 1 month old.
Let try not sidetrack this one to much.

Cheers,
Nick

There is a whole lot more to it than just changing out the Alternator and starter.
Get the convert 24v truck to 12volts thing out of your head. Volts are a really good thing.. embrace all 24 of em.

Exactly. I am learning about all the benefits of a 24v system.
They are slightly more complicated, but seem completely superior.

To anyone that has a 24v system. Just leave it.
Put a solar converter in and be done.
Just get 24v accesories (winch lights etc...)
Stereo, and chargers, etc... can all run of a Solar conveter and 12v fuse box.

Cheers,
Nick

BTW Sheldon: I can't wait to get that 24v Asin in.
I am dying to see "the legend" in action.
Last night we went out for a run with all the suzuki's.
Got the blue one you say stuck in 3ft of swap.
A friend hooked up with his M6000 and yanked it out so fast, I thought it was 24v. The new Warn's are stupid fast. I am dying to 8274 24v go.

Let us all know.. it would be good to get some feedback from someone who has recently used an M9000. I imagine pulling a suzuki out with it should be cake.
Let us know how it is geared.
