Hi there,
Just a bit concerned as I noticed my 1987 HJ61 (12HT) is blowing a bit of blue smoke under load.
In all fairness she hadn't been driven in 2 weeks and before that she's been a work in project, so hasn't been driven around a lot.
She blows a bit of black smoke on start up, clear but faint smoke on idle from cold, and then quite a bit of white/clear smoke (when cold) when taking her for a spin.
My concern is the blue smoke she's still emitting when warm...
I had a mates mate come take a look and he said not to worry about it as it was a dirty diesel, but I can't help but to want to make sure shes not going to blow up on me.
He did identify a bit of oil at the beginning of the PVC pipe which is the first place I'll address, but could this be the culprit? Or could it be stem seals? Also to stop this issue from the PVC what is my best course of action?
Also should not, little to no blowby.
Cheers for the help!
Cheers,
Ben.
