Hi, I've got a factory 12ht 1988 cruiser and it fires straight away when you hit the key but won't continue running. I've checked the VSV and the vacuum shut off actuator and the seems to be working correctly, no fuses blown, only thing different is than hand priming pump wont pump up hard. I've replaced the primping pump and can't find any air leaks in the system. I've cleaned the water separator, mesh line filter and fuel filter looks clean. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Check your oil pressure switch. It will shut engine down if sender is bad or oil pressure is low.

Any difference if you give a touch of throttle?
