That is a great question, nobody has ever even considered going bigger than stock. I guess it would kind of depend on what size wheels you have and how big of a lift you have. I have heard some guys have manged to squeeze 32" tires on their trucks.

I think a 47" will fit on the roof, I know a 44" will fit on the roof for sure.

You didn't give enough information. I'm running 315/75/16s (35s) on mine but I'm running wheel adapters on the front so they don't rub. Without wheel adapters something in the 34x11ish should fit.
