I had heard that the Euro market had a straight 6 cylinder diesel version of the Land Cruiser. Would this be available in a couple years in the US by way of the 25 year rule? I'd love to have something that got close to 20 mpg!

The HDJ100 is what you're thinking of, uses the 1HD-T engine. I have heard from certain importers that there might be a possibility of importing one after 21 years rather than 25. I don't know much about import laws though. This has been an interest of mine for some time though.
