100 Series Drivers Side front plastic housing - what is this? (1 Viewer)

I have a 2002 100 series and a 2006 100 series with AHC. The 02 has 265x75x16's and the 06 has 275x60x18's.

The 02 rubs at lock on a plastic housing in front of the drivers front tire on full lock right. I'm sort of scratching my head because the 06 has tons of space where the 02 barely has any.

Please see photo's. The 02 has hankooks and the 06 has mich defender ltx's.

I want to go to a larger more aggressive tire on the 02 as we start to build it.

My 2002 LX runs 285/75 16 BFG KO2’s with sensor lifted AHC.

No rubbing at full lock or any other time… not even close.

Perhaps the bottom of your washer bottle shield is not attached properly??? should be retained as far forward as possible.
