There is indeed still hope. We are just finishing up a few BIG projects that will hopefully be ready for production shortly, which will free up some time.
Just to put some pressure on ya I’ll bet ya I can do it faster and better! Loser gets lots of free Delta stuff. Deal? Lol

I'm in for 00 config as well

@Delta VS already makes a similar product for the 80 series. Now, for the 100 series (especially with the mis-matched handles)
@Greenbean - that place you linked to has them for the 100 series as well, but nothing for the units that have 1 handle down and 1 handle sideways.

I would love to have one on 05 LX.

Yeah I gotcha, when I linked it originally I should have said for the 98-02 rigs, lol...

That company makes just the shelf for the 200, shipping to the states is over 150 bucks though, so even if they did a 100 early MY version I can't commit to that.

Honestly I just want the brackets and hardware to mount the 24"x48" Inner Metro shelf...
I don't need a whole unit and /or the barrier at the moment.

I traded some emails with them and they advised they can outfit a 100 series regardless of the rear grab handle configuration. I’m sure that getting the parts from AUS to US would be cost prohibitive.

The elastic ones look appealing other than elastic always loosens. The ones Phil makes /made look simple and no-nonsense but heavy and costly to ship. Would anyone want a frame that dissembles for shipping and uses webbing/paracord? I feel like if made from aluminum it could be way lighter and cheaper to ship if it breaks down. I also like the idea of having some give if you ever want to cram something larger in there.

If people really want these I might just try my hand at it. What are your thoughts on which style/construction would you want?

Hmmm,

Great question but firstly THANKS for offering some possible solutions.

Honestly for me just the ability to mount a 18”x48” InnerMetro shelf is my ideal solution.
I don‘t leave it in there always but could. And I want to add the drawer holder to my shelf also.

Last fall I ran the shelf zip tied with three large 1/2” wide industrial ties per side to the factory handles,
The distance off the ceiling was great for my needs, Any higher and I might not be able to fit what I wanted up there. But yet it was funny how many people didn’t notice it was there. Lol...

My wife and I have different needs in that we want the rear area as open as can be when we get to the beach, I take naps back there on a thermarest sleeping pad, lol...

I don’t need a drawer(s) I need better organization above that.

I’m hoping this project is working it’s way toward the top of the list that @BenCC is working on....his stuff tends to be very well thought out and well built right out of the gate.

Hey thanks for the detailed reply! I was out camping for a week on the beach with no reception and it was fantastic!

To be honest I’m surprised by the fact that you would choose to use the premade shelf. While I appreciate the availability and engineering they goes into such a ubiquitous product I personally would not want that much weight added. Nor would I want the lip. Would you want a simple bracket that would sandwich the rack with hardware or something tool less. Would this be installed and removed with every trip or once at the start of the season type of thing?

Is yours he type that has handles of differing orientation? Could you post up a few pics showing how the shelf is held to the handles with the ties? I am wanting to do the exact some thing in my 100. Thanks in advance!

Sure is, drivers side faces inwards and pass side faces down.

Well I actually put it in last weekend and ended up using some u-bolts from Ace...
Two per side. It's not exactly level but I can live with it for now. lol... I will probably add some spacer washers to bring the drivers side down a bit to level it out.
Also I want to get some of those little rubber covers to put over the exposed threads. I don't want to cut any of my softer things that will be crammed up there.

Also got my 285s on. HAHAHAHA

This may help someone also.

The only thing I would add is some type of washers or spacers to bring the driver side down maybe a quarter of an inch and that’s really it, oh don’t forget the little nipple cover things for the threads.

and I bought the nylon locknuts which are a pain in the butt to thread on that amount of distance but it was worth it.

This is the shelf 18x48 pic black, white, or silver

Strong work here. I’ll be visiting my helpful hardware place tomorrow. I like the silver shelf. My 80 has the black one and now I’m not sure which to order.

Thanks again!

edit for typo

Very nice! Have a container store less than a mile from my office, guess I know what I'm doing over lunch!

Yeah i am thinking of designing some brackets on CAD out of aluminum and then making a net out of paracord. I'm guessing that cut out with the cord would be around $30 cost.

For my personal taste that sounds more appealing. Mostly due to weight. Post pics of what you come up with please.
