very interesting! Did you know that this is a U.S. military edition of Japanese plate? The "Y" has often been thought to represent Yankee (because all U.S. military members have Y-plated cars), but it's actually short for Yokohama. The "89" isn't the year, that number denotes which vehicle category. I believe that "8" series is camping/recreational, but this is a clever way to include the LC year ;).

I simple LED total dash and all Vehical bulbs 💯 % update has taken me to a newer place here a bit


I started by carefully shop vacuuming off the dust and age and time from

Both sides of cluster them I found myself with my quill 🪶 in hand and scibing my JiS yellow on the white fonts and graphics

On to the main cluster of gauges , I went all in with the kanji and some simply complex universal language logos too ….

And well it should pop with a never seen or done before wonder and perhaps a puzzled person with no imagination 😅

And that is my inspiration here ….. puzzle 🧩

I feverishly want to do a light shade modification to allow more LED Lumens in

But I also have this issue to contend with ?

The polycarbonate lens is scratched to hell !!

So I will polish out first like
I did the tach

Only problem is this one is way way way worse I hope it’s even restorable ??

Well let’s dive in with 2 jis feet and find the H#LL out !

Inital scroll work done I created a JDM pure yellow speed range STARTING AT 60 mph and ending at 90mph and a oarnge DANGER zone after 90.1. MpH


This one will get less new graphics but better killer kool ones at same time !

Without the lens implace dismal are the LED Lumens ..

Final Installed Images of Cluster Meter Free-Form Enterprise JDM Theme .......

- i was / struggling to get correct photos of each gauge pod , my Iphone Camera or stand alone NIKON Digital will not focus properly ,?

i thought it was my new LED update , but then realized i had hand polished out the factory Polycarbonate 3 clear pod lenses so dam well , maybe better then

factory original , there like mirrors now in-fact LONG Live Nu-Finish Scratch and swirl remover , stuff is magic in a bottle and absolutely works wonders beyond

my wildest dreams ! ✨💫✨

I am happy with the results with one exception ?

I need to source and research a different orange day-glow type pigment as it yes pops during the day time but not as spectacular as the JDM yellow at night , it’s much more pronounced then the camera phone images suggest but indeed not as brilliant ?


My main switch panel layout is mostly sorted out as I mention the rear wiper has been relocated to the far RH stand alone switch knock out blank under the radio via a Kustom OEM toyota correct 4pins connectors sub harness I made on the fly , I will document that in further detail later in another post as it turned out to be simply the best possible idea in the end because it’s a non-illuminated factory rocker switch and is lit up a bit from the 70 series RHD full size single din radio I have updated to full on LED as well too , ✨ shines down on it in a unplanned and interesting way ….

I plan on swapping the cig illuminated trim ring for a blue one

Also installing a @ChaserFJ60 double usb assy. OEM inspired and themed outlets as well with a blue LED also

I still need to BLUE LED the A/C switch button itself and the hvac panel too

Other then those 2 small details the Entire Cement Ghost is now 💯 % Full On LED updated inside and out …

Pretty dam kool indeed , I also SKUNK-WORkS ,s. up a plug and play fully Digital Turn Signal Flasher / Hazard Relay i will go into more detail. below ,

The PO installed a manual summit oil pressure gauge ..

Well it’s not OEM so it don’t fly in my world 🌎


So I removed its ambilocal cord from my oil cooler filter mounting flange housing …

Installed a new OEM 2 wire updated sending unit .

Then started searching for the original Engine wire # 4 sub harness assy
Or what ever was left of it ?

I Quickly realized no trace of it was here or there ?

I deduced it was cut off flush at the main engine bay harness junction exit point most likely ?

And well it was just that after a hour or so of carfull hunting I un-raveled this yellow wire w / black tracer stripe stub !

The rest of the story is outlined below and I have in turn developed a updated version new and improved variety prototype of the original Engine Wire #4 oil pressure

sending unit sub harness assy, with the reproduction rubber boot / cup cover I all-ready have going on ——



inital sicovery of chopped oil sender wire feeding Engine wire # 4 no where in site , long gone …

Making new Engine Wire #4 sub harness section and restoring its main line feed yellow wire w/ black tracer stripe

Along with a OEM factory original quick disconnect , that I have updated to a 💯 % water 💦 proof and sealed chemical resistant OEM connector housings the round newer type

So hence the addition of the 2nd white wire w/ black tracer stripe in the mix running long till it can be tied in to a known good chassis ground wire cluster on the passenger side front fender area

The newer oil pressure sender on my FJ62 has a male blade connector that's not being used, should it have a ground wire run to it?
