1/2" less backspacing, how much added stress? Really? (1 Viewer)

I have used the pro comp 8069 with 4" backspacing(instead of 4 1/2") on other trucks and was fine. Has anyone had bad issues with wheel bearings or anything worth mentioning? Guys are running 35's tires on stock wheels without much issue, why would a 305(at widest) with 10mm difference in backspacing be any different?

Pretty sure factory 80 wheels are 4" back spaced. 8" wide no off-set.

Backspacing is measured from the outside of the flange and wheel width is measured from the inside of the flanges and hence the roughly 1/2" difference.

I have been running 1.25 inch spacers for 7-8 years with no problems or failures of the wheel bearing. Truck does want to grab the ruts more on older paved roads. With the more agressive tires I have, I do need to adjust the bearings more often.

So a adjusting the wheel bearings a bit more often is the only downside in 7-8 years? That's ok by me

I run wheels with about 3 inches of back spacing
No issues to date for the last 2 years
Maybe a little front bearing adjusting after hard wheeln but that is it.
