I just filled up my tank 2 days ago. After coming back to my car yesterday I noticed after I pulled away from the parking lot my fuel gauge was reading 1/4 after 57 miles. It was raining out so I didn't notice if there was a fuel leak.

I went to put a little fuel into it and it was gushing out from the tank. Waiting to tow it back home so I have no idea the exact source of the leak.

I suspect that it's in the tank at some elevation that correlate with 1/4 full.

Is there any know issues with 100 series fuel tanks to be aware of?

Thanks,

-Joshua

Wild guess here, but I’d check the filler neck hose/pipe first.

Fill line ruber hose that goes into the gas tank was cut. It was still soft and pliable with no cracks, as wall the rest of the rubber lines.

Looks like I can replace this hose without dropping the tank.

What's weird is the fill hose is at the top of the tank but I lost gas down to 1/4 tank parked over 12 hour period.

1/4 tank based on your dash gauge, or based on gallons put in (or on the ground;))?

Maybe someone cut the hose and then stuck a small diameter syphen hose in there and stole your gas.....
