'04 Navigation Question (1 Viewer)

I just traded my 98 for an 04. It has the navigation system in it, but appears to have addresses for the NE. I live in Atlanta and there are no SE cities to punch in. I have two questions:

1) Can I get a new navigation DVD that will show this part of the country.
2) Is the data loaded into the navigation system or is the DVD stored and running somewhere in vehicle.

I noticed another post for an older model with it stored under the passenger seat, but was unsure if that model was the same as the '04.

On my 06 you can change it in the destination menu. You push the change button that is above the states icon and it takes you to a selection screen. From there you input a different part of the country. Poke around a bit, I'm sure you will find it.

Ditto for my 03. You'll see a US map and be able to select the region for which addresses you are entering. You might also want to delete the PO's points of interest/destinations. I imagine that some PO's won't erase anything, meaning their house address is probably programmed in with the "home" button.

In my 01, I have a supplemental owner's manual just for the navigation system. Check to see if you have one of these with your manuals; they are quite helpful.
