I called in this morning and was able to get a permit for Casner for the first half of the permit process.
At this moment, we have the week of June 17 - 23. Certainly not ideal as the weather will most likely be hot, but beggars cannot be choosers, right?
The call-in process for permits after...

TRAIL DETAILS:
Due exclusively to the river crossing OnX rates this as a 5, but I would rate it a 2. Assuming the river is passable, its not hard but it is fun. Of some note is a silty-sandy section that gets pretty rutted and can result in a quick tug or winch being necessary if traction is...
Great run! Thanks to everyone who came out. It was a lot of fun and I appreciate everyone's flexibility! Reply to the thread with your photos! Here are some of mine:
Just putting this together, but the idea would be for us to meet up at the "Donuts in the Desert" Food Drive event at...
I was just contacted by the Forrest Service and was given the chance to have the Casner permit for the week of September 4th - 10th. I am going to be out of the country during the time and I am wondering if anyone wants to take the lead on this?
I need to let the Forrest Service know one way or...
Going to do a run to Red Creek. This will be the Saturday right before the big game (you cannot use the actual name as it is owned by the NFL).

The run...
I feel like a broken record, but I cannot make the meeting if it is on Friday the 18th. I have to pick my daughter up at the airport at 8:00pm.
If people want to have a meeting, please chime in. My vote is to combine the November and December monthly meeting into one and have it December 3rd at...
It is that time of year again, just a month early.

I have a business meeting in Seattle on the 7th and once again I am not sure I will be able to make the run. I think I might leave it up to you...

Hey guys!
I'm posting this up to see how many Tucsonans we have going to the CSC Classic Cruize next weekend! (April 13) I'm thinking it would be nice to have all of us just go up together to help minimize any stragglers to the run.
The meeting point for the run is at The McDonalds in Florence...
Hey everyone!

The May ROTM will be at Hassayampa River outside of Wickenburg.
This can easily be done as a day trip or an overnight trip. I will be camping Saturday night next to the river. @Dimples @Abigail @Cruddz @LongDuck and I pre-ran the trail today (4/15) and there was lots of water! This will be...
The March ROTM will be from Wickiup to Alamo Lake with 1 night camping. Camp will be on the north west side of the lake in a riparian area. I will be prerunning it to get a good scenic path and maybe find a few extra curricular side trails. I am going to make the run stock friendly if at all...
I just received the following email from the US Forest Service regarding the permitting period for 2017. If someone wants to step up and plan this trip that would be great, or I can do it - Just let me know.
With the limit of 10 vehicles, this run fills up fast. A waiting list will be...
This month's ROTM will have two options running the same day and ending at the same spot, with an option to camp at our end point.
One: FR 393 from Sunflower to Bartlett Lake. This is a very scenic road and beautiful camp spot, should be great this time of year.
