My 2008 has parking brake wires that has stuck because of rust.
I am thinking of getting new ones or lubricating the old ones.
Anyone done this? Anyone seen an instruction video on YT? Or on this forum?
Always easier to watch before doing!

The parking brake / hand brake on my LJ78 has always been rubbish, it will work great for a short time, but will then stop working even after replacing all the shoes and disc/drum.
So I have been looking at alternatives, and the two I can find are:
1. Fit a transmission brake - I don’t really...

I found a little hack for getting the rear shoes for the parking brake on. I know it's a huge pain in the butt when you take them off, but I came up with a way and I had never seen anybody do it so I figured I would post it just in case. Hopefully it helps somebody else out in the future...
As I wrap up my Parking Brake rebuild on my 75 FJ40, I am trying to figure out the Parking Brake Switch circuit. The switch works fine. I have it operating correctly (based on my multimeter) when the brake is set and released. The problem is with the ignition on and the brake set, the brake...

I stripped...
Selling a rear axle removed from a 96 80 series. This is a full floater axle with integral parking brake. Included is the axle with hubs and bearings intact, two brake disc/drums, both calipers, and the axles themselves. The passenger side axle has the long splines for a factory e-locker setup...
I will be pulling both axles out of my 1981 40 series sometime this winter. Front has been rebuilt with OEM parts minus rotor and re used the old caliper. Re build has 1000 miles.

I purchased a Speedi sleeve from SOR. The included applicator does not seat the sleeve in the correct position. Do I find a way to seat this down all the way or…..?
Help me out friends.
Dear experts, can you help me out on this cable issue. My 1979 bj40 parking brake cabele needs replacement. It is the type with operates rhe two drum brakes. Now the specific cable seems hard to find in Europe. However the cable for a Lancruiser 90 shows exactly the same in the picture of the...
Hi all,
I was picking up a bunch of passengers in the rain last night put the parking brake on to load everything up and then drove off. I went about three city blocks (less than 1/2 mile, maybe 25mph max) before I realized. A couple stop signs and a hill but didn't even notice until I saw the...
