Hi new to the forum. A friend of mine asked me to help him on a 1kz-te engine swap into an old International Scout that he is restoring. The engine he has has a front sump oil pan that is going to interfere with the front differential. What applications came with a rear sump pan that we should...
Took the old girl for a ride yesterday, and after I got back I was checking for leaks and noticed the back of the oil pan where the curved part sits on the last main bearing cap was wet, and there may have been one drip. I wiped it dry and this morning there doesn’t appear to be any fresh...
On the drivers side towards the back of the oil pan. The connection that’s taped to looks like it goes into the o2 sensor so I’m thinking it may be related.
Hi Brains Trust
Any thoughts as to where this leak is coming from (LC105 with 1FZ-FE)? - my initial through was the rear seal of the oil pan (red circle) , but there is also some visible seepage on the transmission housing? (green circle)
The Oil Pan is higher than the transmission housing...
Hey guys, the clutch was on its last leg and I decided it was time to change it out. The oil pan gasket was leaking and figured we might as well replace the gasket. This was sitting in the oil pan, any ideas what this is???
Chasing a leak which seems to be coming from the lower oil pan, so I need to pull it off and reseal it. The bolts looks pretty nasty so I want to replace them with new, OEM ones. Does anyone have a part number on the lower oil pain bolts? Thanks!
Like the title states, I am looking for an oil pan and pickup tube for a 1993 to 1996 KZJ71 or KZJ78 Land Cruiser with the 1KZ-TE Engine. New or used. Lemme know what ya got!
Toyota PN for the Oil Pan: 12101-67040
Toyota PN for the Pickup Tube: toyota 15104-67020

Reinstalled the oil pan last spring and basically parked the truck. Been driving it a bit and it started to leak. replaced the crush washer and leaks just sitting there. Im talking puddles not a drop or two. Would O-rings help? Double up the washer?? Looking for ideas..
Thanks, Jim
I’m in the process of replacing the glasses on my oil plan. There is a post from @Poser that I have been using as a guide. He uses a carquest supreme black gasketing silicone sealant for the corners and on the saddle of the gasket. I couldn’t find anything similar at the auto parts store so I...
I found leak behind crank pulley by oil pan just in front of it.There bolts there tight is there a gasket a drip drip drip anyone seen this before low milage cruiser to 60,000 miles.Im lost and really do not want to take off as I old and on oxygen full time.

Does anyone happen to have a new or used in good condition 2F oil pan? I'm looking for part# 12101-61013, which uses the gasket 12151-61011. I know they're still available from a dealer, but just thought I'd check to see if anyone has a good one sitting around unused.
Thank you,
Mike
Barely tech, but I couldn't find a writeup for it, so just adding to the collective.
It was recently suggested here that I replace my dipstick o-ring. I didn't even know I had such a thing. Well sure enough, there is an o-ring on the bottom of the hard tube that guides the dipstick into the oil...
Got my newly rebuilt engine running, and noticed a slow drip coming from the timing cover area. There was a mix of coolant and oil, and after confriming the Hose of death on the underside of the waterpump was leaking ( PN 90910-05155) I assumed this was my only issue. I tightened a clamp and it...
The story - I picked up a 1st gen Sequoia Limited with 220k for cheap. Diagnosis from the mechanic who looked at it said it was likely a head gasket. Oil was milky. I've always wanted to do a project like this so I pulled the trigger and started the engine tear-down. I've got the FSM for my year...
I have a FJ40 with a '85 FJ60 2F Engine Swap.
Oil pan is leaking under the "bash plate" - probably from one of the welds.
Any recommendations on parts vendors with good prices and reasonable shipping?
I found this - seems fairly recent. Can anyone confirm the part number for the pan and...
Looks like in some point in time someone wrapped the leaking oil drain plug on my 2005. Anyone removed oil pan #2? Did you have to Jack up the engine due to the interferences?
I’m thinking I’ll just use a steel cup brush to bash away the FIPG or whatever that is, open my drain plug and replace...
First oil change on the 70 series.
Had a bit of a rough go. Got it all back together and realized that the plug was leaking. Added a rubberized washer and managed to minimize oil loss in the process even though my hands kinda paid the price with hot oil.
Still leaking a bit though. Seems...
