Has anyone ever made their own speedo cable? I have an autometer speedo that needs a threaded connection on the end of the cable. I'm trying to figure out a way to modify the toyota cable to fit it. Any ideas on where I could find that style of connector or if it can be done?

Thanks.

Zac

never made my own, but had one made at my local shop.

Not to sound trite, but I would try Autometer!
autometer probably won't have one to mate the the toyota tcase...

OK, here we go again. This about 5th time I have posted this in the last month. Go to the link below on my webpage. I list a speedometer shop that will build the correct speedo cable from the LC transfer case to the screw on autometer guage. Cost about $60 depending on the length and materail, e.g. metal plastic case. Bolt up solution no jerry rigging your own.

cardnal, thanks for the info. Actually I pm'd you asking about the cable and you told me the same thing. I was just wondering if I had to scrap a brand new Toyota cable and drop $60 on a new one. Just wondering.

You do not have to 'scrap' it, someone out here may need/want it....

Post it up in for sale section...

Good luck!

Oh, and Nevada speedometer, 775 358 7422 made me a cable to work between my Atlas and my Toyota speedo head in my '69-40. 75.00 shipped IIRC...
