This is a weld together kit from specter I believe. It came with the truck when we purchased it. I took it out and put a regular roll bar in. I felt it was over kill for a stock truck with 235's. Should fit most 40's. The welds are very nice and the paint is still good.

Located in Kitty Hawk NC 27949...will deliver within a reasonable distance for the right price.

$400

CAN NOT SHIP

Might be interested, but need some more info:

- Is is definitely a Spector one or something home fab? How old? Been in a roll-over?

- O.D. (outside diameter) on the pipes?

- Does it fit with the hardtop installed?

- Can you get some addt'l pics posted? In particular, when it was installed in the FJ40 (i.e., side shot, front entry area, & rear section if available). Also, some close-up of the areas of the cage itself where it bolts to the top of the rear fenders.

- Presume the front section bolts down to the floor and not the side pillars?

- Can you get this thing to the Charlotte area?

Lotta questions...
Here's the scoop

It's not a home brew. It's a weld together kit with very nice welds and joints. It looks exactly like the one in spector's book. And there was alot of other spector stuff on this truck thats why I'm assuming it came from there.

It's never been rolled...hell the paint still looks good on it.

It's been a while since I pulled it out. Bolts to the rear fenders and thru the floor boards in the front.

It fits with the hardtop on.

It's 2" tubing

I'm not sure if I have any pics with it in the truck...and I'm not putting it back in to get pictures. Look on specters sight to see how it fits. I may have a few on my computer when it was in the truck b/c the whole truck was for sale at one point...and I believe it still is.

Send me your email in a pm and I'll send you some more photos of it...what would you like to see in particular?

Not planning on coming to charlotte anythime soon...I could possible get it to raleigh.

Thanks SwampRunner. Was hoping you could confirm that it was NOT Specter as I don't like the significant amount of angle in the rear bar that Specter sells. Will prob pass. Thanks!

I'm not sure what angle your talking about...The top looks pretty much flat and square to me. If you give me the specifics of what your talking about I can check it out with more detail.

The green bars angle back on the SOR setup as opposed to being vertical on others. I think this is the angle he is refering to.

Exactly what Belmont is referring to regarding the SOR cage. If it would have been from MAF or Metal Tech and looked like this I'd be interested...

Well looking at the pics you posted it's definitely like the one in the top picture. The rear bar goes straight down not at some weird angle like spectors. I snapped a few more pics of it today to show the rear bars in detail. Send me your email address in a pm and I'll send them to you.

As I stated in the original post....there is no way to ship this thing. It's to big. There is always truck freight but that would probably cost a small fortune. If you do all the legwork on finding a carrier to ship it I'll agree to it. But in all honesty if you really want it you're gonna have to drive and come pick it up.

what were you looking to spend. If the freight company came and picked it up at my doorstep I might let it go for a little less.

Well, I am not sure but that is quite alot for shipping. How low could you go and still be happy??
