Cruiser80 (Scott from El Paso) and I (Carlsbad, NM) are doing a short run to William's Ranch in the Guadalupe Mountains National Park (http://www.nps.gov/gumo/planyourvisit/4x4.htm) on Saturday the 15th.
The entrance from the highway is just at the western base of Guadalupe Peak (highest point in texas) on U.S. 62/180. We are going to meet a Salt Flat, TX (halfway between Carlsbad and El Paso) at the cafe at 10:30 am mountain time, and go the the trailhead from there.
It is a short drive from the highway to the cabin, about 7.5 miles one way, and it's not to technical. But, I don't have a lift and my spare was dragging, so that will give you a picture.
The ranch house is locked up, so we're going to tailgate a picnic lunch and talk cruisers while the kids gripe!
Scott and I have never met, so if you want to go also, we can all get aquainted!
