The body is off and i am down to the frame. I need to still get the motor out and trany transfer case. Theres alot of cleaning now that I need to get done I. I will post some before and after pics when my battery charges up on the camera. Keep posted. Greg:beer:

Pics will be coming shortly. Right now it is bone stock other than the 33 12.50 15's that are on it I have new fenders and quarters coming from CCOT. I am going to do a SOA and a 350 700r4 208 tc swap. SAG power steering pump out of a dodge van. Steering box out of a chevy surbuban. I was going to use the axles out of the chevy but upon further inspection I am going use the stock axles and probably add some longfields instead they are in really good shape. I have another thread on here somewhere that has pics from when I started before I got it down to the frame. If any of ya all have any ideas let me know. Like I said I should have the motor out next wednesday and have the frame over to be steam cleaned. I will keep pics of my progress on this thread now. Thanks Greg

motor is out

 Well guys I have the motor out and am now down to the entirely bare rolling chassis. I was going to pressure wash the frame and everthing but we got a nasty cold smap these last two days so I will get to that sometime in the week. I need to go out and get some jack stands cause I dont want the pictures that I put on here to have any cinderblock flaming going on. I will have the axles out sometime in the week and taken apart. I wire wheeled the hood today and got most of the paint off. Looks like a little bit of bondo on the left front but whoever did the body work did a great job it was a pretty thin coat. The sand blaster is in the mail right now so that will be my nex big plug. I had one but it was in the utility trailer that got stolen in Vegas. Along with most of my tools. So the more I spend on the cruiser the more I spend on tools as well. I will have some pictures up tomorrow or the next day.(Girlfriend has the camera for the Boys first birthday) His first word will be LANDCRUISER. Greg

Good luck with your build I look forward to seeing your progress. Looks like you have a nice place to be doing it as well. As for your comment about seeing the pictures in the thread or the link you provided. It much easier for folks to check back in your thread and see the pictures and comments here, but what ever works for you. You should buy a star though as you may want to post some pics in here at some point and it goes towards supporting the site.

Yeah i need to do that I was planning that anyways. I just have the pics on the other site until I get my star. I for sure want to support the site i will be using it way too much to not. Anyways thatks for the reply I will keep ya all posted Greg

That is a cool picture, what would make it better was looking through a window of a cruiser being built. :D

cant get my pics small enough

So I tried to post some new pics on here earlier and i cant get them small enough. I just got a new camera and I need to mess with the settings to get them to a sendable size. When I get that figured out i will post up some new ones.

this weekend

Well tomorrow is my friday and i get to get back in the shop again for another 2 days. I got everything cleaned up and pressure washed this week and I am going to get the axles out and the springs pulled off. Hopefully UPS gets here with my sand blaster so i can get the frame blasted this weekend or if not I am going to run down the road and get some mini truck axles for parts. I will get some pictures of the before and after on my frame and post them up here when I get it blasted down and painted.

You can resize your pictures in your picture software usually under format, resize image. I usually do 700x500 and that puts it under the 98K site limit. I suggest saving your resized pics to a seperate folder like Mud Build Pics so that you keep the originals in their true format. :)

Hey cowboy695, are trying to post pictures from your picasa web picture account? If so, you can have it automatically scale them down for you when you post them. When you select a picture, go to the right side of the screen and there are some options. You want to use the "link to this photo" option. Then it will let you select some various sizes. The only problem I have encoutered with google photos is that when you past the address, for reason it copties the address twice with a bunch of HTML mumbo jumbo and you have to delete some it. Hope that helps, I've done a lot of trial and error with it. Otherwide, you can use a photobucket account and its easier, but I think they limit your picture size a little more unless you pay.

axle

got the front out today and all the steering off if anyone wants the stock steering set up let me know. Pulled the short side out and looked it over. The bearing races where the steering mounts up look pretty bad but for the most part they are solid noting a little bit of work wont fix. Will get to the long side of the axle this weeks some time. The stick birfs look in pretty good shape but I want to get tid of the 6 spline outers and go with the 30s . Have a buddy coming over next week to help me with the SOA and the cut and turn. Need to mock up my motor and tranny for angles though. Will keep you all posted. Hopefully get some pictures up here soon too thanks for the help with the Picsaas thing too. Greg
