Front Bearing 6203
Back Bearing 6201

These combined with:
2 Toyota brushes
1 Toyota Voltage Regulator

Should be enough to refresh/rebuild most FJ60 alternators.
Soldering Iron is required and an Air Gun is very helpful.

See FSM for instructions.

Thanks for the post.

Standard Motor Products

voltage regulator= VR-160 $20
brush set= JX138 $4

Cool,
IIRC
Toyota VR =$38
Toyota Brushes =$11

That is a pretty big savings.
Do you think the quality is on par with the Toyota? Especially the VR?
I just get a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that my parts have a TEQ stamped on them. ;p

Does anyone know the part numbers for an FJ62 alternator?
Bearings and brushes? Regulator?

Bumping a great but old thread.

Can anyone pls point me to what diodes are suggested to rebuild an fj60 alternator?

I assume that if I'm doing the bearings, brushes, and voltage regulator then I should also swap the diodes for good measure?

Really surprised/disappointed I can't score a decent plug and play replacement for a decent price within a timely manner (within a couple weeks). So figured I'd swap out some internals in the mean time.

The diode board is (was?) available from Toyota for $300.
Or you can get a reman alt from rockauto for $60.

@FJ40Jim thanks for the solid lead/advice! Much easier and economical than a rebuild.

I checked it a few days ago when you initially posted this up and they were out of stock, I suppose a wave of Mudders followed your advice...

Randomly gave it another shot this AM and was able to get my order processed. Hopefully it will go through. Keep you guys posted.

EDIT: have tried several time to purchase and after a few days the order gets cancelled due to lack of inventory.

Anyone have a current source? I bought the brushes and voltage regulator and will likely crack open my existing one.
