Pretty lousy picture but it was getting dark.

Thanks Jim, this is undoubtedly the best bumper I could hope for!

31" tire, hi-lift, jerry can swing out, very stout indeed! The mounting system is the best, the rescue points are not only heavy-duty but go through the bumper and mount directly to the frame.

True to his word, this is one over built bumper!

So freakin' great! Jim outdid himself on this one.

Very nice, but how do you see out the back safely?

Very nice, but how do you see out the back safely?

Visibility is good on the passenger side, obstructed on the drivers side and I have the big old 62 side mirrors for good overall visibility.

After driving a rental minivan while on vacation a week ago I have to say visibility with the swing-out spare is still better than with the minivan.

Yes the visability might be decreased but the higher mounting is priceless...Mine is that high and I run a 37... I tore my firts bumper to pieces when the tire hung up while dropping the rear end on a steep drop off...

Exactly Tim, that was Jim's reasoning as well. He jiggered his own the same way you did. Don't think I will experience that myself with this setup.

That looks awsome! Good work.

Love the 4Runner lic plate bracket I have always wanted to do that myself...

great lookin bumper

Cool, Chris!
Did you & Jim rattle-can it or is it powder coated?

Jim wanted to powder coat it but I figured it would make the rest of my truck look bad so I opted for paint. I take full credit for the paint, all drips, splatter and runs are mine, not Jim's :D

I'll do some sanding and touch-up when we have a warm day. ;)

Daylight Pictures

As promised here are a few more photos taken with sufficient light.

Last Two

I should also mention that the additional weight only cost me 3/16th of in inch in lift. I've been able to spend a bit of time driving and I'm very impressed with the lack of vibration/rattle. I expected more than the small amount I can detect so far.

For those of you that are stickler for detail I am not done with the wiring, can't find my cable ties this morning :o

Finally the pin attached to the spindle holds the swing arm open in 2 positions depending on camber of the truck. Both positions give plenty of clearance for the bottom gate to open - very cool. :)
